Machining technician and CAD/CAM programmer. I'm studying Mechanical Engineering at UMH and I'm part of the university's Formula Student team.

About me
I'm Ciro Aníbal Lafaja and I come from the shop floor. I've set up and programmed lathes, milling machines and machining centres, at the machine and in CAM, in Spain and Austria: writing Haas and Fanuc code, grinding bearing rings and setting up production runs. In Germany I built an e-buggy on an Erasmus+ grant.
In 2025 I won Aragón Skills in CNC Milling, and in 2026 I placed third in Spain at SpainSkills. I'm now studying Mechanical Engineering at Universidad Miguel Hernández and I'm Team Manager for Structure & Integration at the Ilici Racing Team, the university's Formula Student team: I want to design knowing how what I design gets made.
